Ancora una volta l’associazione culturale Life After Oil arriva in India nelle città di Goa Panaj, Azamgarth e Hyderabad per portare LIFE AFTER OIL International Film Festival.

Il direttore artistico Massimiliano Mazzotta è invitato dal critico cinematografico Ajit Rai al Azamgarth Film Festival nell’omonima città, località a due ore da Varanasi.
Dal 22 al 29 febbraio Hyderabad nelle scuole

Saranno proiettati alcuni dei cortometraggi delle edizioni passate del festival, il documentario Lagunaria di Giovanni Pellegrini ed il documentario Breathless di Daniel Lambo sull’amianto.
L’amianto è ancora usato in tutta l’India. Lo scopo di questa proiezione è quindi quello di diffondere consapevolezza della pericolosità per la salute delle persone.
Il viaggio è stato reso possibile grazie al contributo di Medicina Democratica, dott. Francesco Carta (referente in Sardegna di MD), il Professore Giovanni Scanu presidente ISDE medici per l’ambiente Sardegna, Ezio Laconi del dipartimento di Scienze Biomediche dell’Università di Cagliari, Krishnendu Mukherjee, Mohit Gupta e Mareena Hawkes.

Once again the cultural association Life After Oil arrives in India in the cities of Goa Panaj, Azamgarth and Hyderabad to bring LIFE AFTER OIL International Film Festival.

The artistic director Massimiliano Mazzotta is invited by the film critic Ajit Rai to the Azamgarth Film Festival, a location two hours far from Varanasi.

Some of the short films from past editions of the festival will be screened, including the feature documentary Lagunaria by Giovanni Pellegrini and the feature documentary Breathless by Daniel Lambo on asbestos.
Asbestos is still used throughout India. The purpose of this screening is therefore to spread awareness of the dangers to people’s health.
The tour was made possible thanks to the contribution of Medicina Democratica, Dr. Francesco Carta (MD contact person in Sardinia), Professor Giovanni Scanu president of ISDE doctors for the environment Sardinia, Ezio Laconi of the Department of Biomedical Sciences of the University of Cagliari, Krishnendu Mukherjee, Mohit Gupta and Mareena Hawkes.
